Due to economic circumstances and government policies, many migrant workers can’t bring their kids to live with them in the cities, and instead, they have to little choice but to leave them in their hometowns, often to be looked after by a relative or friend. In this podcast, we take a brief look at living conditions for the 58 million “left-behind” children in China.
