Three times a week, CLB Director Han Dongfang, broadcasts on Radio Free Asia interviews he has conducted with ordinary Chinese workers. These interviews, broadcast on shortwave across China, are regularly listened to by tens of millions of people, many of whom call or write to Han with their own stories, which are then later broadcast themselves.
Most interviews are conducted over several ten minute broadcasts and are summarized below in English, keeping as much of the interviewees’ voice as possible, so as to give non-Chinese speakers a unique and telling glimpse into the lives of workers and peasants who are suffering from the growing inequities of Chinese society.
